Japanese Organizer Guide compares storage organizers made in Japan, for people living in small apartments.
I live in Nakano, Tokyo, in a 14.4-square-meter rental. That’s about 155 square feet. One room, no closet. I still want the place to feel put-together instead of cluttered, so I’ve learned to be exact about what fits before I buy anything. I learned that the hard way — a “compact” organizer once ate half my closet and my sweaters still didn’t fit.
Before I recommend a product, I check it in person at the MUJI store in Shinjuku. Then I measure the width, depth, and height myself, and note what fits inside. All measurements get converted to inches, so you can compare them to your own space.
I buy the products myself, through the same links I share here. And when a link’s an affiliate link, I say so at the top of the article.
